Just my 2¢ here, but I'm pretty sure that in the minds of most, the Mac platform is generally known for being the platform most suited to A/V production and graphic design. I would tend to think that professionals in those fields would find such an (ahem) 'oversight' to be damned near egregious. The fact of the matter is, as a professional in those fields, being able to see the content you're manipulating in the best possible clarity is sort of your bread and butter. Having made a few dimes off of such ventures in my day, I gotta say that I'm (at the very least) unimpressed with the glossy screens all around; and really, dithering should be a thing of the past, especially when your product commands the premium that Apple products do. Regardless of wether or not this impacts me directly, it does make me cringe, and I feel that I have as much a right to gripe as anyone....
