Oh, one other note. If the device itself can be sold (as calimed in engadget's report) at the Apple store, that means you don't have to have a subscription plan at time of purchase. So, you could buy it as an iPod/PDA/Web Browser/Digital Camera combo unit alone and not even activate or use the phone functionality until someone figures out how to unlock it's SIM and then you can go to any other GSM carrier of your choice (provided your area has the specific radio frequencies this one's operating at of course)... ;)
