ok so were trying to save some money and not buy a new computer......we have a hp pavilion a384x with 1 gb memory and a reeally whiney hard drive. ive used the hard drives company's software (western digital) to see if it was working properly, and it is...i think it may just be the spinner (?) or fan inside of it. it never clicks or anything, and it just started doing it like 2 years ago, so we just used it as a backup computer...now we need it as a full time computer....so to get on to my point..i was going to buy another western digital, but when i was on their website i was thrown all these "cache" sizes and crap that i didnt know if it mattered if i got a different size. i basically want an 80 gig hard drive again, its just for documents and a small music library. thanks guys
