Nickel and dime-ing again

With the new updates to the MacBooks and MBPs, Apple has stopped including the remote and decided to charge $19 for it instead. First it was video adapter cable(s), now this. How long before we have to pay for the power brick as an option?
Oh and they decided to drop the virtual number pad from the keyboard. Great idea.
